ITC Ratnadipa has proudly announced that it has been awarded the prestigious 5-Star Classification Certificate by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA), reaffirming its commitment to delivering world-class hospitality and sustainable luxury.
The certificate was formally presented by Mr. Buddhika Hewawasam, Chairman of the SLTDA and Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB), and accepted by Mr. Keenan McKenzie, Area Manager – Sri Lanka and General Manager of ITC Ratnadipa.
The award ceremony was attended by several distinguished officials and industry leaders, including a Board Member of the SLTDA, Mrs. Malkanthi Rajapaksha, Director – Standards and Quality Assurance at SLTDA, and Mr. Trevine Gomas, Chairman of the Hotels’ Classification Committee. Their presence highlighted the significance of this milestone for Sri Lanka’s hospitality industry.
ITC Ratnadipa, a Luxury Collection Hotel, officially opened in Colombo on April 25, 2024, setting a new benchmark in responsible luxury and sustainability-led hospitality. Since its launch, the hotel has focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences that seamlessly blend refined luxury with strong environmental stewardship.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Keenan McKenzie expressed his appreciation, stating that the recognition reflects the guidance and trust of the SLTDA and the Hotels’ Classification Committee, as well as the continued support of partners and stakeholders. He noted that the milestone further strengthens ITC Ratnadipa’s commitment to elevating Sri Lanka’s hospitality landscape through responsible, sustainability-driven luxury.
