The inaugural winter season flight from Kazakhstan to Sri Lanka arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) yesterday (25).
Operated by Air Astana, the aircraft landed at BIA from Almaty, Kazakhstan, at 4.10 p.m., carrying 182 passengers and eight crew members.
Air Astana is scheduled to operate two weekly flights from Almaty to Colombo on Mondays and Thursdays until 31 March 2026.
The arriving group of Kazakh tourists was welcomed at the airport by officials of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau.
