In a landmark move to accelerate Sri Lanka’s digital transformation, eMudhra, a global leader in digital identity and security solutions, has entered into a strategic partnership with LankaSign—the country’s only Certification Service Provider (CSP) compliant with the Electronic Transactions Act No. 19 of 2006 and operated by LankaPay, Sri Lanka’s national payment network. The announcement was made during the inauguration of the INFOTEL 2025 ICT exhibition at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Exhibition Hall.
The collaboration combines LankaSign’s legally recognized digital signing certificates with eMudhra’s globally trusted emSigner platform, which has facilitated secure digital document signing in over 68 countries since 2008. Through this partnership, Sri Lankan citizens and businesses can now enjoy a seamless, secure, and user-friendly digital signing experience, with the ability to sign documents anytime, anywhere via iOS, Android, or web-based applications.
This strategic alliance aligns with Sri Lanka’s national agenda to encourage digital document adoption, minimize paper-based processes, and foster a more efficient, transparent, and secure digital economy. By integrating eMudhra’s technology with LankaSign, the partnership supports the government’s long-term digitalization roadmap, enhancing secure digital documentation crucial for e-government services, digital finance, and broader digital transformation initiatives.
